Delete Your Account

You can delete your Spotness account at any time. This page explains the two ways to do it and what happens to your data afterwards.
Option 1, Delete from inside the app (recommended)
If you still have access to the Spotness mobile app, this is the fastest path:
- Open the Spotness app and sign in.
- Go to the You tab (bottom right).
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Re-enter your password (or re-authenticate with Apple / Google) to confirm.
Your account is anonymized immediately. You will be signed out and can no longer log in with the same email.
Option 2, Request deletion by email
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access to your account, or cannot complete the in-app flow for any reason, send a request to:
Include in your message:
- The email address tied to your Spotness account.
- The phrase “I request deletion of my Spotness account.”
- (Optional) Your full name as registered, to help us locate the account if multiple records share the same email.
We respond within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days of verifying that the request comes from the account holder.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following personal data is permanently removed or anonymized:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth.
- Your profile photo.
- Your saved preferences (favorite venues, language, appearance).
- Your authentication credentials (password hash, Apple / Google links).
- Your push tokens and notification preferences.
What is retained (and why)
Some records are retained in anonymized form because they are tied to other parties’ rights (venues you booked with, professionals you worked with) or to legal and accounting obligations:
- Booking and attendance records are kept but de-linked from your identity. They appear to venue admins as “deleted user” rather than your name.
- Payment and order records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting law.
- Reviews you submitted are kept but shown anonymously.
These retained records cannot be used to re-identify you. They contain no name, email, phone number, or other contact data after deletion.
Deleting specific data without deleting your account
Spotness does not currently offer a separate flow to delete only part of your data while keeping your account active. Your account and your personal data are managed together: deleting the account removes the personal data, and there is no granular “wipe my history” control inside the app.
If you have a specific request (for example, removing a single review or correcting a profile field), email support@spotness.fit with the details and we will handle it manually.
Reactivating after deletion
Account deletion is irreversible. If you want to use Spotness again, you will need to create a new account. We cannot restore bookings, packages, or membership credits from the deleted account.
